Meet Tucker Maki
Maki Painting & Maintenance is a family-owned painting company based in Minnetonka, serving homeowners and businesses across the Twin Cities since 2017.
Tucker started painting in the summer of 2012, right after high school. It was supposed to be a temporary job while he figured out college. Instead, he found out how much he enjoyed painting and fixing up houses. He kept painting through two years of community college, then decided to give it all of his energy.
In 2017, he started Maki Painting & Maintenance with a simple idea: give homeowners a high-quality paint job at a fair price, and trust that they'd tell their family, friends, and neighbors about it. They did. The business has grown almost entirely through referrals and word of mouth.

Our Name Is on Every Project
Early on, Tucker learned that two things set Maki apart: clear communication and doing what we say we’ll do. Those principles still guide every project today.
There’s no separate sales team at Maki. From the first conversation through the final walkthrough, you’ll work directly with Tucker or one of our experienced painting professionals — people who understand the work and know what it takes to get the job done right. Tucker remains hands-on throughout the process, regularly overseeing projects and working alongside the crew.
Over the years, several members of Tucker’s family have joined the business, each bringing the same pride and attention to detail to their work. When the Maki name goes on a project, we take that personally. We take pride in the quality of our work and in leaving every customer with a finished project they’re proud of.
